JUMLA, Aug 15: Partly-clad minors aged between three to seven years old have taken to the streets wearing black goggles in the district on Saturday.
They took out the rally starting from Kamitol and Karkidanda of Chandannath Municipality and reached the district administration office (DAO), chanting slogans, "We don't need far-western region, we want undivided Karnali zone.
With a line 'our future is black' written across their chest, they protested against the decision to affix Karnali zone with the far-western region, which, according to them, will deprive them of their rights and leave their future in jeopardy.

Arbis Karki, the leader of the rally, said this is the first round of the protest rally and added that if their demand is not heard, they will stage hunger-strike in front of the DAO.

The rally had ended after holding a corner meeting in front of DAO. They had warned the DAO not to play with their future. Meanwhile, they had also drawn the attention of human rights activists and journalists during the corner meeting. The normal life in Juma has been crippled by the movement that entered the seventh day today.
