KATHMANDU, March 9: A partial solar eclipse has been witnessed from Nepal on Wednesday morning.

The solar eclipse started at 5:57 am but it was witnessed only after the sunrise at 6:22 am today.

The prime time of the partial solar eclipse was at 6:27 am while it passed over at 7:02 am.

Customarily, the government has been declaring public holidays during the solar eclipses. As the Ghyalbo Lhosar fell on the day of the eclipse, the government would not have to make any such announcement for public holiday, said Home Ministry Spokesperson Yadav Koirala. RSS
