RASUWA, June 16: Over 42,000 domestic and foreign tourists visited Rasuwa district’s famed Gosainkunda and Langtang regions in the past 11 months, according to Langtang National Park.
Park Ranger Keshav Dhowdari said 30,750 Nepali and 11,480 international visitors traveled to the area from mid-July to mid-June. Tourist numbers increased significantly compared to last fiscal year’s 32,597.
Rasuwa welcomed 300,000 foreign tourists in 40 years

The region draws pilgrims, nature lovers, and those eager to experience Tamang culture. Many visitors trek to Langtang and return after bathing in the holy waters of Gosainkunda.
During the same period, the park collected Rs 48.1 million in revenue from entry fees, forest products, and helicopter landings. Entry fees are Rs 100 for Nepalis, Rs 1,500 for SAARC nationals, and Rs 3,000 for others.
Meanwhile, 2,952 people used the Rasuwagadhi border to travel to Mansarovar-Kailash, and an additional 885 to Lhasa and 159 to China’s Everest base camp, according to immigration chief Lekhnath Khatri.
