Professor Dr Bhim Prasad Subedi of Tribhuwan University gave a presentation on “Youth and Migration, Status and Challenges”, where he talked about migration and the challenges it imposes.
“Employment, educational mismatch, finding one’s own space are just some of the challenges that the youth face when they migrate from their homes to another city,” he explained.
Many sociology students were also present at the event, and they participated in the program putting forth ideas of migration due to untouchability, mental health, etc on the table.
The program was organized to commemorate World Population Day which falls on July 11.
