The films and documentaries are being presented at Nepal Tourism Board and City Hall at Bhrikuti Mandap. The organizers are more than satisfied with the response of the crowd so far.[break]
Dabbu Chettri, Media Coordinator of the event, says, “It’s going better than what we had anticipated. Most of the shows have been houseful. Though it rained quite heavily in the morning, we have had around eight to 10 school buses with children to watch our films. Two shows in the morning had people sitting on the floor to watch the films since there was no seat available. Tomorrow we have around 14 films and we hope to have the same kind of response.”

With a total of 79 films and documentaries from 20 countries like Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Tanzania, Mexico and Finland, Nepal is presenting 27 films to show in this festival. Nepal is showing various films from various communities like the Chepang, Magar, Tharu, Limbu, etc.
The 6th Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival is supported by Nepal Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities, Taiwan Indigenous TV, Nepal Film Development Board, and Nepal Tourism Board.
The ticket per show has been priced at Rs 30 each with 50% discount for students. The festival starts at 10 am and ends at 7 pm every day.
