KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Nepali life insurance companies collected premiums worth Rs 50.36 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year (FY).
The records with the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) show that 14 life insurers collected Rs 50.12 billion and three micro life insurers collected Rs 247.3 million in premium by selling their insurance policies during mid-July and mid-October this year.

Nepal Life Insurance Company made the largest premium earnings of Rs 13.45 billion, followed by National Life Insurance with Rs 5.68 billion and Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) Limited with Rs 4.98 billion in the review period.
