CAIRO, Feb 24: A photography exhibition titled “Nepal: The Seen and The Unseen” was inaugurated at the Cairo Opera House on Tuesday.
The exhibition has been organised by the Embassy of Nepal in Cairo in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the Cairo Opera House. It was formally opened by Nepal’s Ambassador to Egypt, Sushil K. Lamsal, alongside featured photographer and photojournalist Ashraf Talaat and Chairman of the Cairo Opera House Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, among other guests.
In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Lamsal highlighted the role of art and culture in strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Egypt. According to the press release, he expressed appreciation to the Government of Egypt for its continued support in facilitating cultural exchanges and recalled last year’s hosting of the exhibition “Faces of Nepal” at the Salah Taher Gallery. He said he hoped such initiatives would provide Egyptian audiences with “a deeper and more nuanced understanding of Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and social fabric.”
