KATHMANDU, March 27: Nepali national football team wasted a goal lead against Malaysia U-22 to settle for a 1-1 draw on Sunday during a friendly match played at the Tanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Malaysia.

Bharat Khawas, who marked his comeback in the national team after missing the Banganadhu Gold Cup and South Asian Games football due to injury, put Nepal ahead in the 36th minute. Bharat converted Bishal Rai's pass after sprinting the ball and slamming a low strike at the far post.Arif Anwar forced the equalizer four minutes from time for the home team.
