KATHMANDU, Dec 6: The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized a special weekend outreach event at Nepal House, bringing together Nepali workers for a day of awareness sessions, essential services and community engagement.
The program was inaugurated by Ambassador Dornath Aryal where participants attended a series of informative presentations covering the use of artificial intelligence in daily life, mental and physical well-being, labour rights, financial literacy, the Social Security Fund, and important “Do’s and Don’ts” for living and working in Oman.
The sessions were led by First Secretary Bishesh Kumar Sah, Labour Attaché Damodar Gnawali, Dr. Kamal Aryal and NRN Social Club Oman representatives Shyam Bhattarai and Binod Kumar Das.
Nepal Embassy organizes investment meet in Muscat
The Embassy set up a dedicated Passport and Consular Service Camp, to support those unable to access government services during the workweek. The program drew strong participation from individuals who had travelled from distant areas.
A free health camp was also conducted by a six-member medical team from Badr Al Sama Hospital, offering basic check-ups and medical advice. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the Embassy’s effort to make these services available on a weekend.
Earlier in the day, Ambassador Aryal chaired the 11th Development Diplomacy Meeting with representatives of Nepali organizations based in Oman. Discussions focused on the Embassy’s role in supporting workers, enhancing diaspora participation in policy reforms, and collaborating on initiatives to promote Nepal’s tourism, investment, trade, and employment sectors.
NRN Social Club Oman President Suresh Khadka submitted a set of policy recommendations to the Embassy. The Ambassador also addressed questions from community leaders and gathered feedback to further improve service delivery.
The Embassy thanked the Badr Al Sama medical team, Nepali organizations, and volunteers for their support in making the event a success. It reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of Nepalis in Oman and pledged to continue organizing similar programs for the welfare of the community.
