BIRATNAGAR, Oct 6: Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh said on Saturday that if the political parties fail to forge consensus and should Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai reject to step down then the NC would resort to street protest.

Talking at a press conference organized by Morang chapter of Nepal Press Union in Biratnagar, Singh criticized the incumbent government of pushing the country towards confrontation and uncertainty. He was also of opinion that the political parties should take serious decision to resolve the current deadlock.[break]

“Until and unless the political parties forge consensus, president cannot take any decision,” he said, adding, “NC-led government would give country a political outlet.”
