KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Nepali Congress (NC) has unanimously decided to hold its 15th General Convention from January 10–12 next year.
A meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee held in Sanepa on Monday endorsed the schedule for the convention and also extended the term of the current CWC until mid-February .
UML to hold district convention on January 7
According to the approved calendar, the party will hold ward-level conventions on December 31. Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka informed the meeting that village and municipal conventions will take place on January 1, followed by provincial assembly constituency–level conventions on January 3.
District conventions will be held on January 5 in districts with only one House of Representatives (HoR) constituency, and in districts with multiple constituencies on January 6.
The NC will hold its provincial conventions on January 7 and 8, Khadka added.
