NC, UML to hold 'decisive' talks with UCPN (Maoist) tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Fe 10:  A meeting of the two main opposition parties--Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML-- on Sunday decided to hold a ‘decisive’ talks with ruling UCPN (Maoist) Monday on the formation of consensus government.



The two-party meeting held at UML central party office, Balkhu, took the decision to this effect stressing the urgency of forging a political solution to hold new elections by mid-June this year.[break]



Saying that forging consensus by tomorrow is essential to hold the election by mid-June, the two party leaders also decided to intensify the anti-government protests if agreement could not be forged.



On Saturday evening, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav had urged leaders of major political parties to reach an agreement on ending the ongoing political deadlock in next two days.
