Lawmakers elected from the Tarai region, however, had demanded for obstructing the house proceedings as the ruling alliance failed to heed the NC’s demand to forward the constitution amendment proposal and proposal of the Reconstruction Commission in the parliament.

Lawmakers Ram Krishna Yadav, Bimalendra Nidhi, Kiran Yadav among others had pressed the leaders to go with plan to obstruct the parliament proceedings. However, various NC lawmakers had opposed the idea to obstruct the House proceeding as it will give negative message to the public at a time when agitating madhesi morcha cadres  are resorting to violence such as vandalizing the ambulance and torching the vehicle carrying life saving medicines during their ongoing Madhes movement, informed NC lawmaker, Ramhari Khatiwada.

As per the NC’s decision, NC acting President Ram Chandra Paudel will address the House at the beginning of the  House session today.

Paudel will float NC’s stance on various issues including Tarai movement and their demand of redrawing the demarcation of federal states during hsi address.
