NC district convention: Bhusal elected in Parbat, Shah re-elected in Kailali

PARBAT, Feb 19:  Nepali Congress (NC) district convention has elected Khim Prasad Bhusal as Parbat district President on Thursday.



Bhusal won the election by defeating his contender Khagendra Prasad Tiwari by 137 votes. Bhusal secured 344 votes while his rival Tiwari got 207 votes.

The second round election was conducted as neither of them managed to secure at least 50 per cent votes in the first round.
Bhusal is considered the candidate from establishment side.


Earlier, Biswo Prakash Prasain and Ram Krishna Malla were elected secretary and treasurer of the party district committee respectively. RSS


Shah re-elected Kailali Prez
KAILALI, Feb 19: Nar Narayan Shah 'Manu' has been elected the President of Nepali Congress (NC) Kailali.
In the election held on Thursday, Shah secured 416 votes while his rival Bhium Baduwal received 257 votes.

This is Shah’s second term as district president.

Purna Kunwar and Sewak Ram Chaudhary were elected the secretary and treasurer of the NC Kailali. RSS
