KATHMANDU, March 1: The Nepali Congress, in a press release on Tuesday, said the incident in which the cadres of the Unified CPN (Maoist) showed indecent behaviour against the Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood by waving black flags at him is an out and out infringement of the diplomatic decorum.[break]

The UCPN (Maoist) cadres had waved black flags at the Indian ambassador when he reached Dingla Bazaar, Keurenipani of Bhojpur district on Monday in connection with laying the foundation stone of a hospital building being constructed with Indian assistance.

It is the view of the Nepali Congress that such anarchic and unbecoming incidents should not occur in protest against any diplomat of a friendly country, the Nepali Congress stated in a press release.

The Nepali Congress flayed what it called such incidents resorted to by the cadres of the UCPN (Maoist) time and again that are against the diplomatic dignity and political culture, calling upon the UCPN (Maoist) not to repeat such incidents and present itself as a responsible party.
