NC calls CWC meeting to review election results

KATHMANDU, March 23: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting for Tuesday afternoon to conduct a detailed review of the recent election results.



Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal said the meeting will be held at 1 pm at the party’s central office in Sanepa. The party had already held meetings on Friday and Sunday, where a preliminary assessment of the election outcome was carried out.

During those earlier meetings, leaders also decided to reject the resignation proposal submitted by party president Gagan Kumar Thapa.


Leaders said Tuesday’s meeting will focus on a comprehensive review of the HoR elections, examining both political and organizational factors behind the party’s performance.


Thapa is expected to attend the meeting, marking his first participation since the elections. The previous meetings were chaired by Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma in his absence.
