KATHMANDU, Feb 8: A 6-year-old girl has died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Kanchanpur.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 2:30 am on Sunday in ward no. 6 of Laljhadi Rural Municipality, where a wild elephant attacked the house of Kisan Singh Saud.

While trying to flee the house during the attack, Saud’s 55-year-old mother, Parbati Saud and his six-year-old daughter, Rojina Saud, were injured. Locals informed the police, and both injured were taken to T&C Hospital for initial treatment, police said.
As their condition required further care, they were referred to Dhangadhi. Six-year-old Rojina Saud died during treatment at Nawajiban Hospital in Dhangadhi at around 6:15 am, said Kanchanpur Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur Shahi.
