BIRATNAGAR, Jan 1: An elephant from India has been found dead in Sundarharaicha, Morang. A 12-year-old wild elephant was found dead in the Janjagaran Community Forest located in Sundarharaicha Municipality-10.
DSP Ranjan Dahal of the District Police Office, Morang, said that an investigation is underway after the elephant was found dead.

He said that a team of police and division forest office Morang reached the spot and are investigating. A team of veterinary doctors from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has also arrived.
A group of wild elephants that entered Nepal about two months ago is in the forest area of Morang. The dead elephant belongs to the same group.
