KATHMANDU, July 8: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday plunged 30.09 points to close at 2,621.59 points.
The secondary market opened at 2651.68 points and went to a straight fall to reach the day’s low at 2,610.93 points in the last 16 minutes. The market recovered around 11 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Only mutual funds gained 0.02 points, while the remaining 12 groups were the losers. Manufacturing and processing shed the largest of 118.52 points, as non-life insurance and life insurance also declined by three-digit points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 3.93 points. Daily turnover stood at Rs 4.82 billion, up from Rs 4.40 billion.
Among the individual companies, 25 were the gainers as 247 lost their charms for the investors. KBL Debenture 2089 had the largest turnover of Rs 623.91 million. Corporate Development Bank Limited had the largest fall of 13.41 percent of its market value. NMB Debenture-2087/88 witnessed the highest gain of 5.52 percent.
