KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The men's football team coach of Nepal, Raju Kaji Shakya, recorded his name in history books as one of the most successful football personality of the country. He became the first Nepali athlete to fetch South Asian Games gold in three different roles.
He won the elusive gold first as a member of the Nepali squad, and then as captain and also as a coach. He was a key player of the 1984 SAG squad that won gold during the first edition of the games at home.

Similarly, he led the team as captain during the 1993 SAG in Bangladesh while he is the coach of the current squad.
