Micromax Canvas 4 A210 by July end

KATHMANDU, July 20: Canvas 4 A210, a new flagship of Micromax, will be launched in Nepal´s market by the end of July. Virgin Mobile, a multi-brand showroom of mobiles, has announced that the mobile phone set will be released in the market on July 30 at a price of Rs 32,000.



“Officially, we have started the booking of Canvas 4 A210 from Sunday,” said Vivek Sharma, Managing Director, Virgin Mobile. According to the company, booking of 200 sets of the mobile phone is expected at the initial phase. Furthermore, Sharma informed that each pre-booking customers will be presented with a gift hamper on the day of release. [break]



Canvas 4 A210, that was launched earlier in July 8 in India, has been equipped with several gesture-based features. In a bid to differentiate its phone, Canvas 4 users can pause the ongoing video if they want. Another salient feature of the mobile phone is ´Blow (or shake) to Unlock´ which allow a user to unlock the phone by blowing air on its screen or by shaking it.



Micromax Canvas 4 A210 has a 5 inch HD display with IPS capacitive touch. The smartphone has the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and supports 16.7 M colors. Moreover, the phone has display protection of Gorilla Glass 2.



The new flagship of Micromax is run by the Android OS v4.2.1 jelly bean operating system and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core A7 cortex processor.

Similarly, the dual SIM Canvas 4 features 13 MP main camera with resolution of 4160 x 2120 pixels along with features like auto focus, panorma, geo-tagging, face detection and LED flash. There is also a 5 MP of front camera with resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels.



Micromax Canvas 4 A210 supports 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and has 16 GB internal memory. The phone also has an extended storage capacity up to 32 GB through the MicroSD card slot.



Along with this, the phone supports features like Wi-Fi with hotspot, bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, 3G, GPS with A-GPS and micro USB v 3.0. It also supports 3.5 mm jack for headphones. The device has a 2000 mAh battery along with battery backup of 220 hours at the standby mode.



“The phone is affordable to Nepali customers and will substitute the desire for Galaxy S4,” said Sharma. “Though people are comparing the phone with Galaxy Grand, specification of Canvas 4 A210 takes it beyond,” he adds.
