Parliament endorses medical education ordinance

 

Federal Parliament has approved National Medical Education Ordinance 2075 by majority. A meeting of the House of Representatives passed the Ordinance through majority which was proposed by the Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokharel.



Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere hits its highest level in 800,000 years


The average concentration of carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere just topped 410 parts per million, according to measurements from Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. It's the highest CO2 level in the 800,000 years for which we have good data.

Sexually victimized women at the hand of Army personnel crying for justice


Those women who were lured or forced into sexual relations with serving or former Army personnel are crying for justice. Women would enter the Chitwan National Park (CNP) to collect fodder and firewood where they would be forced to have sexual intercourse with Army personnel stationed there. 


Province 7 CM pledges to open Tinkar point


Chief Minister of Province 7, Trilochan Bhatta, has pledged to make initiation to open the Tinkar checkpoint based in Byas Rural Municipality in Darchula along the Nepal-China border. Speaking at a joint press meet organized by the Press Chautari and Press Center, Darchula today, the CM said the opening of the northern Tinakr point could pave a way for prosperity in the province that comprises eight districts including Darchula in far-western Nepal. 


Government transfers 18 joint secretaries


The cabinet meeting on Monday has transferred 18 joint secretaries to various ministries and departments. Netra Prasad Subedi, one of the transferred joint secretary, "the government has transferred 18 of us." Subedi was transferred from National Reconstruction Authority to Bharatpur metropolitan.
