'Cut-off public holidays should be reinstated'



CPN (Maoist center) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has expressed his dissatisfaction on the cut-off public holidays. Chair Dahal stated that the decision of cut-off public holidays without consultation with concerned communities creates a problem. 


Rally held to mark World Press Freedom Day


A rally was taken out this morning to mark the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day 2018. The rally spearheaded by Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) was held under the banner 'Observation of Power: Media, Justice and Rule of Law'. The rally started from Babarmahal and converged into a corner meeting at Naya Baneshwor.

Public transport service halted


Different transport committees of Dang district, who have been protesting government's decision, have stopped operating transport service from today. Night bus service counters have remained closed, said Raju Yogi, In-charge of Deluxe Counter of Tulasipur Jeep and Micro Minibus Entrepreneurs Committee. 


All four rhinos to be gifted to China held


The task of capturing one-horned rhinos to be gifted to China has been completed on Thursday. The last one out of four rhinos was darted and captured from Sukhibhar today. Prior to this two one-horned rhinos has already been captured while one of the rhinos to be sent had been rescued from last year's monsoon food.


Rainstorm kills at least 91, injures over 160 in India


A powerful dust storm and rain swept parts of north and western India overnight, causing house collapses, toppling trees and leaving at least 91 people dead and more than 160 injured, officials said Thursday.
