Martyrs’ Day being observed

Nepal is observing Martyrs' Day across the country to pay tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the betterment of people and country.

Various programs have been organized to remember the contributions made by four important martyrs—Shukraraj Shastri, Dasarath Chand, Gangalal Shrestha and Dharma Bhakta Mathema.

Every year, Magh 16 in the Nepali lunar calendar is marked as National Martyr's Day.
