He claimed that the NC and the CPN-UML were not against the current government rather a faction of the UCPN (Maoist) itself was trying to topple the government.[break]
Speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union, Arghakhanchi, NC leader Acharya said the opposition parties NC and UML have not doing anything against the government but a faction in the Maoist itself is the determining factor for the government´s fate.
He said the NC Parliamentary Party leader Ramchandra Paudel is the right candidate for the new prime minister as per the party statute if a NC-led government was formed. He added that the NC has given priority for returning the seized property, and peace and constitution writing processes.
In a different note, he said his party has various factions as internal management in the party has various shortcomings, adding the constitution writing process has been shadowed as the parties have internal conflicts.
He urged all the political parties and their leaders to think above individual and party interests and write democratic constitution as desired by the Nepali people.
