DHANUSA, Feb 28: Manoj Sah has been elected to the post of president of Janakpur Town from Nepal Congress (NC).
Manoj, affiliated to Sher bahadur Deuba faction, defeated Parmeshwor Sah of establishment faction.

In the election, Manoj-led panel has secured victory in all the posts including the president of Janakpur municipality committee.
Manoj secured 1009 votes, while his nearest rival Parmeshwor got 320 votes. Bibekananda Mishra elected as secretary while Ram Jiwan Yadav elected as treasurer.
According to the election committee, a total of out of 1,356 votes were cast out of 2,585 voters.
