KATHMANDU, August 7: Nepali Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Bhimsen Das Pradhan has said that the service-seekers have to face various obstacles and problems at Bir Hospital.
Speaking during the zero hour of the House of Representatives ( HoR) on Sunday, Pradhan said that since the management of the hospital was inefficient, the service seekers had to face many problems and the level of physical infrastructure and services was deteriorating.

"Senior citizens admitted to the hospital did not receive treatment at a discount. Patients admitted to the emergency room do not get a bed. The emergency of middlemen who arrange beds is big. After getting a bed, the patient's relatives call the honorables. The middlemen ask for 5,000 rupees and promise to arrange a cabin," Pradhan said.
He said that though it had been only two years since the construction of the new building of the hospital,water pipes have started leaking.
He asked the government to appoint a person who has completed a postgraduate degree in management as the chief executive for hospital management.
