Man who stole 37 laptops lands in police net

KATHMANDU, June 16: Police have arrested Tej Bahadur Magar aka Kumar Thapa on the charge of stealing laptops.

The accused had sneaked into Chelsea Education Center in Tokha on June 11 and made off with 37 laptops and chargers worth Rs 1.6 million.


The stolen laptops were recovered from the Koteshwor-based rented room of Rahul Gupta. Police raided the room based on the information revealed by Magar hailing from Kalyanpur-5 of Nuwakot district.

Preliminary investigation states Magar burgled along with Ravi Sha. Sha was responsible to sell the stolen laptops.

Metropolitan Police Crime Division said they are searching for the culprit on the run.
