SARLAHI, April 9: Police have arrested Kamalesh Thakur, the main culprit who was on the run after kidnapping and murdering an innocent child from Gamhariya Tol of Malangwa Municipality of Sarlahi.
According to police, Aakash Thakur, a 10-year-old son of local Dipendra Thakur, was abducted from his home on Sunday and his body was later recovered in the safety tank of his neighbor Jagdish Thakur.

Sarlahi police arrested Kamalesh on the basis of special tip offs at 9PM on Friday. Kamlesh was arrested from Simara on the Nepal-India border while he was on his way to India.
According to the statement given by Kamalesh to the police, he had kidnapped Aakash as his father Dipendra Thakur had a lot of money. He had confessed to the police that he had abducted Aakash at around 8:30PM on Sunday, killed him within a few hours and wrapped in a plastic bag and deposited the body in a safety tank on the east side of the house.
Police have arrested eight people, including Kamlesh's father, in connection with the incident.
