SURUNGA, (Jhapa), Feb 4: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare CP Mainali has expressed his hope that the Madhes problems would be resolved very soon.

Mainali, who represents the CPN (ML) in the CPN-UML-led coalition government, during his meeting Thursday with the party's district- level cadres in Jhapa argued most of the Madhes demands have already been addressed and the unrest going on there would end within a day or two.

Agreements had been achieved on major agenda relating to the Madhes agitation, he said, adding carving out a separate Tarai province would lead the country towards division. RSS
