KATHMANDU, Jan 28: The 11th edition of Nepal Buildcon, an international exhibition related to the construction sector, is set to be held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from February 5 to 8, the organizers said in a press release.
Organized with the objective of promoting the overall development of Nepal’s construction sector, Nepal Buildcon has been held continuously for over a decade. The exhibition is the country’s first and only international trade fair dedicated exclusively to the construction industry.
According to the organizers, more than 300 national and international brands will participate in the four-day event, with over 200 stalls showcasing their products and services. Businesspersons and entrepreneurs are said to be highly enthusiastic about the exhibition, as it provides a platform to directly exhibit construction-related goods and services to consumers.
All set for ‘Buildcon International Exhibition 2020’
The event is being jointly organized by Media Space Solutions Pvt Ltd and Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt Ltd, which have been hosting Nepal Buildcon every year for the past 11 years. The exhibition has played a significant role in linking Nepal’s construction industry with modern technologies and contributing to infrastructure development, the organizers said.
Through the exhibition, domestically produced construction materials and technologies are promoted in international markets, while also creating opportunities to introduce advanced international technologies, services and products to Nepal, according to the organizers.
The exhibition will feature a wide range of construction-related materials and services, including architectural hardware, aluminium extrusion, marble, tiles, sanitary ware, modular and modern kitchens, roofing, cladding, lifts, elevators, escalators, doors, windows, flooring, wall coverings, glass glazing, pipes, plumbing fittings, construction chemicals, PVC and UPVC profiles, batteries, generators, cement and steel.
According to the press release, the event is expected to bring together construction-sector professionals such as contractors, importers, manufacturers, distributors and service providers, along with nationally and internationally reputed companies. Architects, engineers, interior designers and other professionals related to the construction sector, as well as individuals and institutions planning private housing, commercial complexes and business buildings, and the general public, are also expected to attend in large numbers.
According to the organizers, Glambuild Interior is the main sponsor of the exhibition, while Luminar Ceramics (laminated tiles) is the power sponsor.
