KATHMANDU, March 22: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is witnessing growing internal tensions over the leadership of the monarchy restoration movement, with party leaders vying for credit in reinstating former King Gyanendra Shah.
The party has split into two factions. Chairman Rajendra Lingden has declared himself the leader of the movement, while General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana has positioned Nabaraj Subedi at the forefront to claim prominence. Senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra has aligned with Rana, further deepening the divide.

As the dispute escalates, RPP spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi has urged party leaders to unite. On Saturday, he tagged Lingden, Rana, and Mishra in a poetic Facebook post, calling on them to set aside their differences and come together at this crucial moment.
