The actor, who arrived in Nepal on Monday evening, interacted with the local villagers and the children. He also participated in a discussion at the CARE Nepal office in Melamchi.
Previously, Kapoor had also started a campaign to raise funds for the earthquake victims in Nepal. And actors like Diya Mirza, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Anuskha Sharma also supported his campaign.
"I don't want people to forget the calamity that has struck Nepal. I hope to continue helping with rehabilitation work in the coming days," he said.
Kapoor left for Delhi on Wednesday morning. He is associated with CARE Nepal, an organization that works for women empowerment.
CARE Nepal's Ashika Sharma, one of the three who accompanied him, stated that the visit went smoothly.
"He was very down to earth. In spite of walking for one and half hour, he was in a great mood and played with the kids. He tried to get to know the situation of the women and children in the affected areas by interacting with them. He also held a discussion on how opportunities should be created for these women and children," she said.
The plan was also to visit a camp in Bungamati to meet with families affected by the earthquake but the change in his flight schedules led to canceling of the meeting.
CARE Nepal's Grishma Raj Acharya stated, "Since this visit was very short, he has plans to return to Nepal. It seems this was his first field visit for a social cause."
Kapoor has been part of films like 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Aaja Nachle'.
