Kulekhani project starts producing 92 MW

HETAUDA, Nov. 13: The Kulekhani Hydroelectricity Project – I and II have together started generating 92 MW of electricity from 5:30 this evening.



The Kulekhani-I is located at Jhosing and the Kulekhani-II at Bhainse in Makwanpur district.



The additional power generated since this evening has been fed to the Central Transmission Grid, the Kulekhani-I project office stated.



The project had been ctting down on power generation since the last some one and half months for restoring the water level in the project´s reservoir, said Sarada Bikram Malla, administrative officer of the Kulekhani-II project.



Kulekhani-I generates 60 Megawatt and the Kulekhani-II 32 Megawatt power.
