Krishna Kumar BC elected NC Dailekh president

DAILEKH, Feb 20: Outgoing President Krishna Kumar BC has been elected president once again for the Nepali Congress Dailekh District Committee.

Of the total 57 9 votes cast, BC emerged victorious with 314 votes. BC has garnered 54.23 percent of the votes cast, even though 51 percent of votes is sufficient to win the election.


Dumped by both the establishment and the Deuba faction, BC fielded himself as an independent candidate in the district convention and won the election by obtaining votes from both the sides.

His rival Mani Ram Regmi from the establishment faction got 138 votes while Him Bahadur Shahi representing Deuba faction got only 116 votes, the election committee told Republica.

Likewise, Bhupendra Shahi has been elected secretary and Purna Bahadur Khatri Treasurer, according to the election committee.
