KMC requests district administration to ban street businesses

KATHMANDU, Sep 11: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has requested the Kathmandu District Administration Office to ban street businesses for a certain period of time to contain the spread of COVID-19.

KATHMANDU, Sep 11: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has requested the Kathmandu District Administration Office to ban street businesses for a certain period of time to contain the spread of COVID-19.

In a letter to Janak Raj Dahal, chief district officer of Kathmandu, KMC Deputy Mayor Hari Prabha Khadgi requested the local administration to ban street businesses to contain COVID-19 spread at the community level in the Valley.


The local administrations in the Valley decided to open street business from Thursday. As per the decision, street businesses are allowed to operate till 11 in the morning, and from 4PM to 7PM.
