Speaking at the press meet, Prime Minister of Nepal Oli said the major objective of his India visit is to clear the misunderstandings between the two countries and take the relations to the same level Nepal had during Modi's Nepal visit.
Oli said Nepal has entered a new era of economic development after promulgating a new constitution.
Oli further said that Nepal is hopeful of getting the same assistance and cooperation in Nepal's economic development from India as it is emerging as a booming economy in the 21st century.
Meanwhile Oli also appreciated the spontaneous support, cooperation and solidarity Nepal received during the aftermath of the devastating earthquake of April 25, last year.
Oli also urged the Indian investors to invest in the hydro sectors.
His counterpart Narendra Modi said Nepal's stability is liked to India's security. Both the prime ministers have agreed to fight against extremism and terrorism and stop such activities across the open borders. Both the prime ministers have expressed their solidary to intensify cooperation between security agencies of the two countries to this effect.
India and Nepal would jointly fight against extremism and terrorism, he said while adding both neighbors are committed to not allow criminals and terrorists use their respective territory.
India's assistance has always been constructive and our actions have been in line with the priorities of people of Nepal, said Modi.
Expressing confidence, Modi said that, under Oli's able leadership, Nepal-India ties will further strengthen and attain new heights.
Stating that the late President of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala had incomparable contribution to the Indo-Nepal relations, the Indian Prime Minister said India would always remember him.

India wants peace, stability and economic development in Nepal and Nepal's stability is linked with the security of India, he said. Both countries would benefit from the proper utilisation of abundant hydropower resources of Nepal, the Indian Prime Minister said, adding the resource must prove a boon for economic progress of Nepal
