PARBAT, Sept 27: Flooding in the Kaligandaki River has swept away 66 houses in Farse of Jaljala Rural Municipality-8, Parbat, following continuous rainfall since Saturday night.
According to the Armed Police Force, the flood destroyed 66 residential houses. Including sheds, cattle shelters and other structures, around 80 structures have been damaged.

Another 23 houses remain at high risk, but authorities evacuated all residents from the affected area to a safer elevated location near the settlement in time.
No casualties have been reported so far. The Armed Police Force said authorities are also moving belongings from the high-risk houses to safer locations.
A joint team of Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force has been deployed at the site. Police officials and the ward chairperson are monitoring the situation and coordinating rescue and damage-assessment efforts.
