CHITWAN, Sept 30: Jeep safari service has been resumed in Chitwan National Park (CNP) from Monday. The service had been suspended during the monsoon season.
The safari was halted on June 30 due to concerns over potential damage to gravel forest roads, seasonal flooding from rivulets, falling trees, and other humanitarian risks.

Jeeps that were in operation last year will be re-authorized for service this season. Operators have been advised to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before resuming operations.
Currently, a total of 32 jeeps from Sauraha, nine from Meghauli, two from Ujauli, five from Amaltari, and one from Madi provide safari services inside the park.
