The jackal had dragged the child from the yard when the mother was cooking meal at 9:00pm as she entered the house to bring flour. The family had found the body of the infant with intestine out of the belly in the nearby paddy field when the family along with neighbors searched for after they did not see the child when they came out of the house. The child died while undergoing treatment when brought to District Hospital Jaleswor in the same night.
