Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon arrives in Nepal

Buffon was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament when Italy defeated France to win the World Cup in 2006. He has represented Italy in 176 international matches.

KATHMANDU, March 2: Italy's World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has arrived in Nepal. He has come to Nepal for the final match of the KP Oli Cup being organized by the National Youth Association.


According to the association, Buffon has arrived in Nepal for the competition.

Buffon was selected as the best goalkeeper of the tournament when Italy defeated France to win the World Cup in 2006. He has represented Italy in 176 international matches.


Buffon, who made his international football debut in 1997, retired in 2018. Similarly, he retired from professional football in 2023.
