BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Dec 6: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has expressed concerns to the country's recent situation saying that country was becoming weaker due to influence of the external forces.

Leader Koirala, who is also the chief of the NC's Foreign Affairs Department, stressed the need of national unity among all to safeguard the country.

At a news conference organised by Nepal Press Union in Bhimduttanagar today, Koirala urged the leaders of Madhesi Morcha to sit for talks at home itself to resolve the problems country facing. Koirala's statement has come at a time when some leaders of agitating Madhes-centric parties are leaving here for New Delhi today.

"The issues of Madhes should be troubleshot by sitting in Nepal," she added.

Koirala was of the argument that the country was pushed 30 years back due to existing crisis.

On a different note, NC central committee member Koirala said that NC would see a huge change after the party's 13th general convention.

"The present party leadership should also come up with new thoughts if it was wishful for leading the party. NC will not run in the existing situation. Party should be taken ahead from new vein by being changed with the changing time," Koirala added. RSS
