According to Area Police Office of Katari, the incident occurred when the infant was put to sleep alone in the house. Seven goats were also killed in the fire. Besides, the fire destroyed important documents and Rs 10,000 in cash. According to the locals, police reached the spot only in the evening. “We could not reach there in time as the village is 46 km from Katari,” said Inspector Gyanendra Phunyal.
