KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The Indian upper house of parliament on Thursday postponed discussions on attention motion registered by lawmaker Pawan Kumar Verma on Nepal.

A conclusion was reached to hold short-term discussion (ranging for three-four hours) after lawmakers said time is insufficient considering complexity of the issue. Verma of JDU had registered the motion at the parliament.

At the meet, Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj read aloud her written statement. The Vice-chairman stopped her saying that lawmakers have already received the statement and asked her to enter question-answer session.

Then addressing the parliament, lawmaker Verma said that India’s relationship with Nepal and Nepal itself is in crisis.
