KATHMANDU, Jan 31: A meeting of the High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) held at Singh Durbar has ended inconclusively on Sunday.
The meeting of the alliance affiliated to ruling parties, held for seeking ways to end the ongoing political stalemate, failed to bear any fruits as Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli failed to show up in the meeting.
According to UCPN (Maoist) Chairman and Coordinator of the HLPCC Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the next meeting of the HLPCC has been called for this evening itself.

Earlier, a meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has called the Prime Minister to call the meeting of the HLPC.
Dahal further informed that the meeting ended inconclusively as PM Oli did not appeared in the meeting citing his busy work schedule.
The meeting, however, held discussion on various issues including ongoing Madhes agitation, India-imposed blockage and ending the existing political stalemate.
India has imposed a blockage on Nepal expressing dissatisfaction over Nepal’s constitution. Likewise, Madhes-based parties are also staging sit-in across the Tarai for the same.
Incorporating the suggestions of the Madhesi parties, ruling parties and Nepali Congress had made the amendment in the constitution one a week ago. However, India and Madhes parties are yet to end the obstruction at the Nepal India border-points.
UCPN (M) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN-UML senior leader Jhalanath Khanal RPP-N chairman Kamal THapa, and leaders of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic and Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party were present at the meeting.
