KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Government has categorised the injured persons during the Gen Z protestors into four categories: critically severe, severe, moderate and minor.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), informed that a technical committee formed to assess the injuries sustained during the demonstrations has divided the injured into four groups.

The government had constituted a 10-member technical committee under the coordination of Dr. Saroj Sharma, Chief of the Department of Quality, Measurement, and Regulation.
The MoHP stated that the classification was carried out based on the nature and extent of injuries. The categories comprise 23 protestors under “critically severe,” 21 under “severe,” 23 under “moderate,” and 11 under “minor.”
As per the classification, the injured individuals will be issued official identification cards. The Government has already circulated directives to all District Administration Offices, instructing them to complete the injury-classification process.
A total of 2,572 individuals were injured during the Gen Z demonstrations on September 8 and 9, of whom 11 remain under medical treatment in hospital.
