Govt allocates Rs 28.82 billion to boost fertilizer supply to 600,000 tons

The government plans to increase the supply of chemical fertilizers to 600,000 tons. Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel announced this while presenting the budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/25.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government plans to increase the supply of chemical fertilizers to 600,000 tons. Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel announced this while presenting the budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/25.

He also stated that a subsidy of Rs 28.82 billion has been allocated for fertilizers. Additionally, preparations are underway by the Investment Board to establish fertilizer industries.
