A joint meeting of the party standing committee members and Ministers representing the party in the government held at party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence at Lazimpat today decided to look into the causes of slackness in the government's performance.
Party vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that the party chair Dahal would hold talks with PM Oli in this regard and the meeting held discussions on the various aspects of the difficulties caused by Indian border blockade. The meeting identified the pain inflicted by the quake as one of the factors that affected the government performance.
Though there were various obstacles, the government could not perform well as it should have, Shrestha added. The meeting reviewed the performance of the Ministers representing from the party as well and found it unsatisfactory.
Party leaders had criticized the performance of the Ministers as they were failing to work meeting the spirit of the people and the situation, it is learnt.
Talking to media persons, Shrestha added that the Ministers answered the quarries of the leaders and presented their future plans to meet the aspirations of the people and party as well.
Similarly, the meeting directed the Ministers to bring out the effective plans and implement them soon so as it could meet the aspirations of the people.
Similarly, the meeting decided to call the meeting of the high level political mechanism led by the party chair Dahal to discuss about the performance of the government.
The meeting is expected to review the performance of the government and make common understanding in this regard.
Likewise, the meeting did not approve the resignation of Shrestha who was the coordinator of high level coordination committee formed from the party to look after the government activities from the party side. RSS
