POKHARA, Jan 22: A foreign paraglider has been missing along with his paramotor since Friday afternoon.

French national Jean David, 42, who had flown at 3:30 Friday afternoon, had phoned Saturday morning saying that he has landed safely but was not sure where he landed.

But he has not contacted since and bad weather has hindered attempts for his search.

“We have already sent a police team on foot as we have not been able to send a helicopter due to adverse weather,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Keshav Adhikari.

Police will resume search Sunday morning.

SSP Adhikari said the paramotor may have landed somewhere in a jungle in Machhapuchchhre VDC.

Managing Director of Avia Club Stephen Shrestha claimed that David was in Korchun of Machhapuchchhre VDC.

“He is safe and there is no problem. It´s just a breakdown of communication,” Shrestha said.
