KATHMANDU, March 15: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday increased marginally by 4.45 points to close at 2,824.90 points.
NEPSE opened at 2,820.44 points added around seven points in the pre-opening session. The market escalated to 2,838.41 points in just five minutes, while it went through a high fluctuation and reached day’s high at 2,839.35 points in the next hour. Subsequently, the index plunged to the day’s low at 2,809.14 points in the next 41 minutes. The market recovered around 15 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Sector-wise, life insurance shed the largest of 62.32 points, while hotels and tourism, investment and mutual funds were also recorded under losers. Of the nine gainers, trading posted the largest gain of 105.46 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 0.41 points. Daily turnover declined marginally to Rs 14.32 billion from Rs 14.55 billion.
Among the individual companies, 124 were the gainers and 130 lost their market charms. Green Life Hydropower Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 810.12 million.
Solu Hydropower Limited added the highest of 10 percent in their market values. Daramkhola Hydro Energy Limited was recorded as the topmost loser.
